The Brewers, the Bakers, and the Balloon

The fantastical tour through the history of the brewery begun the Rothacker family in Philadelphia in the mid 19th century, was begun as a concept of my stepson Wayd after visiting the Prohibition Museum in Savanah, Georgia.

Wayd wondered why I hadn’t considered writing a book about my ancestors, their journey from Germany and the beer they produced. Since Wayd had little knowledge of the breweries, his concept was far from the story I’ve uncovered over the years. But thinking about it further, I decided to weave a short, but fictional tale, about the Rothacker Brewery, bereft of fact and more of fancy. Please watch the video above for the story.
